 Colin Selig benchs

Intrigued by the design challenge and ecological interests, Colin Selig recognized the sensual form and higher function inherent in discarded propane tanks, using sections of spheres and cylinders as building blocks to create sculptural benches that are visually dynamic as well as structurally sound.

propane tank

Made of torch cut recycled propane tanks and powder coated to last forever, these benches are uniquely designed for outdoors and would be fabulous for parks, municipalities, gardes, zoo's and lake fronts.

Colin studied metal sculpting at The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston while completing a degree in Philosophy from Tufts University in 1987.  His education includes apprenticeships with a machinist and race car fabricator as well as a Fulbright Scholarship recipient sculptor.  Committed to a sustainable lifestyle he resides and works within an intentional community.
